Happy Birthday to Dave!

Dave turned 26 years old on April 18th, 2009. We've been together since he was 15 years old. I can't believe it! Dave was in the field on his actual birthday but the night he got home we had a great celebration as a family. Dave enjoyed himself opening presents and eating lots of yummy cake!

Fun decorations and presents!

Welcome Home 3/7

It was March 24th, 2009 and it was Margot's day! Her husband, LT. Bass was coming home from Iraq after a 7 month deployment. Margot was ready for her man. All the girls came over for supper at my house to have one last dinner. We ate pizza and salad and had a great time. After dinner Margot went to shower and finish cleaning. Jon wasn't supposed to be on Victory Field until 1:30a.m. She had plenty of time to get ready.
Thank you Margot for being an amazing friend! I'm so proud of you! You did it! Love you so much. xoxo

Jon and Margot finally together after a 7 month long and hard deployment!

Crawling Baby!

Noah is almost 8 months old. He has been up on all fours rocking back and fourth for about a month now. However, on March 29th he started to crawl. He is now a little crawling pro. He gets into everything and anything. I can't stop him from going anywhere. I love seeing my little boy grow. He now follows Abby and Bubba around and thinks they are great. Abby and Bubba really have come to love Noah. Noah has also started to crawl and then go into the sit up position. Dave hasn't seen any of this because he is in the field for the next month. He is excited to come home and to see how much his little boy has grown.

Beach!

Dave and I took Noah to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time in February. The water was freezing but Dave wanted to get Noah's little feet all wet and covered with sand. He loved every minute of the beach.

Bath Time!

Noah is almost 6 months old. He loves his bath time. Dave and I were giving Noah a bath the other night and Dave decided to put all of Noah's bath toys into his tub with him. Noah had a great time with all of his toys! He loves to splash the water now.

Girls Night at the Bouchard's

The other night I had some of my closest girlfriend over for a great meal. I made the main course and all my girlfriends helped me with the side dishes and desserts. I made my Mom's famous chicken cordon bleu. It came out fabulous! I grew up eating chicken cordon bleu so it was special to share the recipe with my friends. Military wives share experiences that no one else can relate to, that is why I am so greatful to have each and everyone of them in my life. I know that they will always be at my side when I need to cry or laugh. Coming to 29 Palms I cried and I know leaving I will be crying too. 29 Palms is a special place and I am so glad God placed me here with all my wonderful girlfriends!

Rewind...

Noah had his four month appointment on December 11th, 2008. He is a healthy little boy. Dave wasn't supposed to be at the appointment, due to work but he ended up making it! I was so surprised and overjoyed that he was with us.

Noah's Measurements:

Weight: 14lbs (25-50 percentile)
Height: 24.4in. (25-50 percentile)
Head: 42cm or 16.5in (25-50 percentile)

I can't believe how fast he is growing.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year...

It's the most wonderful time of year again...Christmas time. Dave and I got invitations to many Christmas parties this year. We had so much fun and we are so thankful for all our wonderful friends out here in 29 Palms.

Our friends Joey and Lindsey had a great Christmas party in early December to kick the season off right. Thanks for a great time Joey and Lindsey.

The SECOND holiday gathering that Dave and I went to was at Carolyn and Brandon Schroder's house. We had just a great time hanging out with great friends. All the guys were watching football as the girls stood around talking. Thanks for having us Carolyn and Brandon!

The THIRD holiday party we went to was at our friends Kate and Dave Dyer's house. Kate and Dave hosted a Ugly Sweater party. I didn't have a ugly sweater in my closet so I asked Carolyn if she had any and she did. Well, it turns out that Carolyn's sweater was so ugly I won for the females. Thanks Carolyn for the win!

The FOURTH holiday gathering was at my friend Steph's house. She had a Christmas book exchange for all the kids. All the kids brought a book wrapped up and then the kids picked out a new book. This day was a lot of fun! We all brought food to share and it even started to snow in 29 Palms. It snowed the entire day! The snowflakes were large too. It felt like the East Coast! It was a memorable day for sure. Thanks Steph for a great day!

After the book exchange I got a couple of pictures of the dogs and Noah in the snow...

Welcome Home LT. BREWSTER!

My good friend Diana welcomed home her husband Ben home after a 8 month deployment to Afghanistan on December 3rd, 2008. Diana and I became really close during our husbands deployments. Dave left in March and Ben left in April so we were ALWAYS together. When Ben left in April he left his 4 month old son, Levi. Now, Ben was coming home to a 1 year old. Levi never forgot about his Daddy. He would always hold his picture up and say, "Daddy!" Di and I would do everything together such as, cleaning cars, walks, dinners, and more. I am so thankful that she is in my life. God has truly blessed me not only with Diana's friendship but with all the wonderful girlfriends I have here in 29 Palms. 29 Palms is a special place and I am thankful Dave and I are stationed here.

It was an exciting day for Di! We all went over my friend Steph's house to pray for Di before we headed out to get Ben. Then we all headed to the victory field were Ben and Di would become one again! Little did we know that we would be waiting on the field for two hours for the guys to arrive. That's just how the Marine Corps rolls.

Finally, we saw them marching onto the field and it was so great to see Ben and Di back together after a 8 month long deployment!

I love you Ben and Di!

Di ready to see her man!

Ben is the first one on the left
